MGP's marketing strategy reminds me of another international Makeup brand, Makeup Forever. Makeup Forever is the only makeup brand in the world with a global makeup training organization. They also stand out among beauty brands by creating clear base products. By comparison, I think MGP has several areas that can be improved. First of all, the products of MGP are still too limited to include makeup academies. MGP stores and makeup academies are only opened and marketed in China. Makeup Forever's global marketing effort is a little less lucrative. Secondly, Makeup Forever joins LVMH Group in a later period, which is supported by LVMH in terms of cost. But MGP is still only by its own factory, in terms of capital is not strong enough. Finally, Makeup Forever not only relies on its offline stores and online stores to sell products but also adds Sephora to add a lot of sales channels for its brand. In contrast, MGP also needs to expand its own sales channels, not just rely on online marketing.
